How To Create A Cozy Reading Corner

Create a quiet escape just for you. Take a look at my tips below for setting up your perfect reading nook.

The Perfect Chair

Start with a comfy chair. Choose a piece that is perfect for you, soft fabric, and a great cushion. 

The Perfect Lighting

Make sure your space has accent lighting that will best illuminate your reading space. There are lots of different types of methods of lighting your space, but I prefer using either a table or floor lamp that will properly illuminate my book with a soft glow. 

The Perfect Layers

When designing any space, make sure to incorporate layers. This will give your space depth, interest, and comfort. What should you layer? Think colors, materials, lighting, and especially soft fabrics. 

The Perfect Side Table

Have a space to set a drink. I don’t know about you but I need a cup of water, a mug of coffee, or a glass of wine to enjoy a good book. You don’t need a huge surface, but make sure you have a small space nearby to keep the essentials close.
